If you are seeing this lady spinning clockwise, then it means you are using the right side of the brain. If you are seeing her spinning counter-clockwise, then you are using the left side of the brain.
Some people are able to see her spinning in both directions, but most of them see her rotating only in one. If you can see her spin in one directions and then make her spin in the other, then you are a part of a handful of people.Even if it might not seem so, both directions can be seen. Apparently, this fact has been proved at the Yale University, USA, after 5 years of studying the human brain and its functions. Supposedly only 14% of the US population can see her spinning in both directions.Note: I saw her go counter-clockwise, but then if I only looked at her feet, she started to spin clockwise. It took a bit longer afterwards to make her go counter-clockwise again. I have noticed that the illusion is caused by the perception of the viewer as he or she interprets the ambiguous frames where the spinning dancer’s body (legs and arms) cross over each other.Don’t forget to share your experience with us and tell us which way you saw her go.Need help to see her go the other way? Check out the help lady spin post.![]()
I can only see it moving counter-clockwise. Are you sure it goes the other way around as well? It seems impossible.
It took me a couple of minutes but I figured it out. Start from the bottom of the feet and slowly go up to the midpoint and focus on the right side. The sounds crazy but if you start doing mathematical equations in your head or think of “creative things”will switch directions.
Wow. I stumbled on this and at first I only saw it spin counter-clockwise, then I glanced down at her feet and it switched directions. I had a hard time getting to switch back to counter, but I managed it again by looking at her feet. Weird.
I don’t believe that its only 19% who can see her spinning in both directions, In fact, If its right that the direction is depending on the brainside in use, it should be normalto be changing directions because nobody uses just one side of the brain.I think its more a question of knowledge how these things work. Or a question of imagination to make her switch the direction. But its still a great optical Illusion thanks for sharing it.
Sia A is right.. you can make it change. or at least i can
But why is she naked?
This is a trick. It is a graphic that is changing. It has nothing to do with what part of the brain you are using. It is a animated GIF graphics picture. You will see it going both ways at some point.Perfect example to not believe everything you read.
I seem to have a pretty easy time seeing her go both ways. Everytime I’ve seen this she’s always gone clock-wise first though…
started CCW, took a few seconds, got her to go CW, couple more seconds got her back to CCW. Crazy to think about
I saw it spinning clockwisebut after a minute it went counter
I can get her to spin counter-clockwise by turning my head slightly to the right, then slightly back towards the left. It is actually controllable.
It is stupid to think that it is a graphic trick. My uncle starred at it for more than 20 minutes until he was able to see it go counter clockwise. Even after that, it went back to clockwise pretty fast. As for me, I saw it counter clockwise at first, now clockwise… problem is…I can’t make it go counter again. It is very frustrating.
Here’s a simple trick I noticed:At first focus on the feet. Bring down the browser so the rest of the body is hidden. Now make it look like her feet are wagging left and right away from you. Practice seeing them turn left, then right, and also back and forth. Now when you go back to the full image you should be able to switch her rotation by glancing down at her feet and using that technique.Once you can force her to go either direction, try making calculations or try imagining things. See which way which works best. What I noticed is that though my ability in each changed, the inner narrative remained constant. Interesting experience!
Its a simple mind trick, the brain picks up her going clockwise and anti clockwise depending on how you first see her. If you keep her in the gaze but looking elsewhere you can switch her direction, by switching focus back right on the edge of her swing.I am not convinced that this shows which side of the brain you are using, its just learning the trick of how to see it.
This has been going around the Web for some time. I always see her spinning clockwise at first, but I can pretty much change the direction at will. I find the trick is to concentrate on the hand that sticks out more to the side. But where’s the evidence that the way you see her spinning indicates what side of the brain you are using? I have read articles elsewhere that say this is a myth.
wow, i saw it spin in both directions…it requires reallllly deep concentration and for example, my brain it takes about 2-3 minutes to transfer the thought and view in my brain for each side. just concentrate..blink, think hard.
It could be a myth, but it is a nice optical illusion. I froze framed it when she was on sideways and the thing is…..you can imagine her lifted leg being her right leg or her left one. You can see it either way. Depending which one you convince your mind it is, the image will either spin cw or ccw.I was able to freeze the image using Mozilla, by just clicking on the browser’s window. Or you could print screen it, but it may take some time until you get her to be sideways.
If you don’t focus on her (but still see her with the corner of your eye) and think that you want to see her go ccw or cw, she will start going in your desired direction.
I can see it both ways! And now I can make it switch on command.
I saw her going CW then closed my eyes, opened them, made her go CCW, closed my eyes, opened them again, made her go CW… I did that about five times on a row and it worked!
It definitely will rotate either direction. I didn’t have too much trouble switching the direction, just think of it spinning the other direction or try looking away for a second.
ZOMG!! i can make her go both ways!!!
So for all you struggling to see both ways, here it is, definitively:Observe the ellipse traced out by her hand. If it appears you’re looking “up” at it, it’s going counter-clockwise; looking “down” on it, clockwise. Now, when you’re watching it, imagine or say to yourself that her arm is passing in front of her body when it is moving through the bottom of the ellipse to have it switch to “looking down” (clockwise) or that when her arm is moving through the top of the ellipse, imagine it being in front of her body to have it switch to “looking up” (counter-clockwise).It may be that if you’re a taller person, it’s easier to imagine looking downwards on the spinning figure, or if you’re shorter, the opposite. Dunno tho’. But it’s all about whether the top of the ellipse or the bottom of the ellipse is in front of her body (or behind it).
I can see her spinning in both directions. First the clockwise direction. When I then begin about thinking “rational” things it switches easy. I tell me “Mozart, Nietszche” and it turns counterclockwise. I tell me names of people I have feelings for and it turns clockwise.
This was very frustrating. I kept starring at it for more than half an hour and nothing happened. I tried to keep it out of focus or follow any other suggestion that was mentioned here. Finally what I did, I turned my head up-side-down and it worked. It moved counter clockwise.
I saw her rotating from left to right as soon as I looked at her.
Just as Alex said (although I tried before reading his post) you can make it change direction by performing hard mathematic calculations (to make it spin counter-clockwise) or to imagine pictures and/or colors (to make it spin clockwise). The interesting thing is that I tried it with my 16 years old son (who has a condition known as dyspraxia) and he was able to to make spin in any direction without any major effort.
I have actually heard that one side of your brain is used for artistic tasks and the other for more rational, logical ones (or something like that….)
I saw counterclockwise first, couldn’t see it any differently, then I got up to pour a drink, came back, and for a minute I saw her going clockwise. Can’t get her to change back yet.
I was able to see the figure rotating in both directions. the trick for me was to look askew for awhile so that the image would go out of focus. it would randomly change back and forth. Also, it depended on what part of the image i looked at that determined when the switch took place. the reflection of the feet and legs played a big role.
I see it both ways, I can control whether or not I see her counter-clock wise (which usually at first that is what I see) or vice versa. It’s pretty fun, I think it’s all mind of matter; if it looks impossible, don’t just accept it, prove it.
I see it both ways. I’ll stare at it, and look back a minute later and it will have switched. It keeps changing between clockwise and counter….
Very cool, first I saw it with the right side of my brain but it quickly came easy to reverse the direction…
i can see both and change at will
I can easily make her switch directions. If i move my eyes to the right looking at her only with my left eye for a second she begins going clockwise and continues when i look straight at her. If i do the same on the left looking at her only with my right eye for a second she begins going counter clockwise and continues when i look straight at her. Weird, it doesn’t seem possible, at first i thought the graphic changed directions, but i was doing it over and over with different lengths of intervals inbetween. It was definitely what i only was seeing.
that thing broke my brain. When I first look she was spinning counter clockwise…then I read the text. I looked again… clockwise. I CAN’T make her go the other way again.
oh that’s so cool, I can make her go both ways. For a while I couldn’t, but then I was showing my boyfriend and the screen was turned and then I saw her move both directions, quite frequently. I then moved the screen back towards me, and I could still see her move in both directions!
Try covering both eyes. Uncovering your right she spins counter clockwise, Uncover the left, she spins clock wise.
i initially saw it spinning clockwise, then i closed my left eye and blinked my right one until i saw her spinning counter-clockwise. when i stopped blinking and opened my left eye, she was still spinning counter-clockwise. this freaked me out hard, so i did the same thing with the opposite eyes and she went back to clockwise.
Simply look at an object above the screen while keeping the girl in motion and imagine seeing her counter clockwise – without closing ur eyes – you will see her move counter clockwise.ezz breezy and this is a fake report! this doesn’t prove which side of the brain you’re using – it’s old news and the real story about this is how you perceive visual images, not how u use your mind…..bad post!!!
Well, you perceive visual images by using your brain, so I think the way you this girl spin is in a direct relation to what part of the brain you are using.
I see her spinning in both directions. Before reading the explanation I was confused why my coworkers could only see her spinning in one direction since I could see her switching from one direction to the other so clearly.I am curious, what does it mean if you fit into the “small handful of people” who see her going in both directions?
Well i can’t explain the phenomen in english, but i’ll do that in romanian, so find a translator if u want to understand. Srry for that.
I saw it spin both ways and so did my husband so that 14% doesn’t seem right. It is a trip though if 2 of you look at it at the same time. She was spinning counter clockwise for me but switching back and forth for my husband.
I can only see her moving to the left. I have tried all the suggestions written here, but nothing works. It just seams impossible for her to be spinning any other way.
Hey, if she is out of focus, she does not complete an entire rotation. Instead she goes left and when her raised leg is on the left hand side of the image she turns right. Same thing when her leg reaches the right side of the image. So basically she is just moving like a pendulum. Craaazy!!!
Here’s how I do it: look at the dancer, and then close your eyes. Imagine her moving in the desired direction. When you open your eyes, she’ll be moving that way.
Need help to see her go the other way? Check out the help lady spin post.
I can make her change directions easily. Not a big deal.
Actually when I first stumbled upon this site I didn’t see her spinning at all… More so I thought she was turning left to right (Halfway in each dirrection). I didn’t realize that she was spinning until after I started reading. I then discovered that I could get her to spin in either direction as well as just turn side to side.
Wow, you can see her turn side to side? That’s quite something. I don’t think many can do that.
I could see her spin both ways and don’t understand how other people can’t.
I can see it going either way. It usually starts clockwise, then i stop it and make it go the other way.
She went clockwise for me at first, but after staring for a few seconds, she switched to counter-clockwise. By keeping my eyes on the foot in the middle, I was able to see her switch direction every 15-30 seconds or so, although she moved clockwise more often than not.Very cool!
Also- to the poster who said this is an animated gif that switches all the time- nope. My husband was right beside me and it took a full five minutes for him to her switch direction, while it switched direction many times during those five minutes for me.You shouldn’t assume that everyone had the same experience that you did.
This was fun! I was able to see it go either way ..started clockwise. By concentrating for about 10 seconds she would reverse. Then i would have to concentrate and she would change again. For me it didn’t have anything to do with watching her feet.
For me it was pretty easy I just looked at her and said what direction i wanted to see her spin and she spun that way. There is no way for the animation to be prerendered in both directions from the different lengths and starting directions for each person. An interesting illusion to say the least
I got her to go both ways. Clockwise first. Then i focused on the shadow and started thinking about her going counter clockwise then after about 30 seconds she switched. But it was a little more strenuous on my brain that way :/.
I saw her spin both ways without trying, but I figured out that when I started READING she spun clockwise and otherwise it was counter-clockwise…weird!
She is spinning in only one direction only, fact. You can tell by the arc of her leg/arm and head. Irregardless of other people seeing it spin in both directions or the opposite direction, it still only spins in one direction. The optical illusion is set by making it look like a shadow. It is not substantiated by Yale University, so that is a lie, for if it were the truth, it would paint Yale into a bunch of dumbasses. Stop perpetuating something so assinine by preying on the ignorance of the easily manipulated.
I’ve seen this many times before and only been able to see it go one way. Usually it’s going counter-clockwise, and only once I saw her going clockwise. This is the first time I’ve been able to change it into go the opposite way. It’s amazing one you experience it for yourself.
at first i saw her spinning counter-clockwise but then after i read the note about her being able to spin clockwise she strangely started to spin clockwise and has continued doing so.
OK. so I saw it going cw. I couldn’t make her to ccw until I closed my left eye. Closing the left eye and seeing on the right sends the signal to the left brain. Alla da sudden, she’s spinning the opposite. when I open my eye, she goes back to cw.
Ow… i’m dizzy now… but woot! i can see her go both ways. the trick is to focus slightly to one side of the animation to make it switch back
I first saw it going in clockwise direction, then while looking at her feet, she went counter clockwise.and then switched midstream later
The phenomenom could be similar to wagon wheels apparently spinning backwards in a cowboy movie. Imagine the minute hand on a clock spinning fast and you see samples of the hand’s position. If the first sample is at twelve and the second at five o’clock, you will see the hand rotating clockwise. If the second sample is at seven o’clock, you will see the hand rotating counterclockwise. To test this hypothesis look at the dancer’s feet and blink your eyes and then see if the direction of rotation changes.
wow, that’s awesome. I saw her spinning clockwise first (I’m left handed) but once I read that the illusion had to do with which side you perceived her leg crossing over the other, I was able to see her spin both ways.
i only saw her turning clockwise, until i was reading the text and as i watched her in the corner of my eye i started to see her turn counter-clockwise. then it was easy for me to see either.
I could see her go both ways..
i saw both directions. which blew my mind as i didnt believe it could happen!very cool.
I saw it spinning clockwise but then I looked at the feet.I was trying to figure out if maybe concentrating on one area would make it look different. As I looked up again it was spinning the other way.
I saw nothing but clockwise. but then I looked at it erratically: feet….foot….arm…breats…head…leg…both legs… Eventually I was able to see it both ways, and now I can see both clockwise and counter-clockwise if i do that focus technique. …PS my head hurts a bit. lol
Dirty! At first I thought it was a stupid question: of course she’s going clockwise! Then SHE WENT THE OTHER WAY!! and she kept changing directions on me! My husband sees both ways too! This is crazy!
I originally could only see it going clockwise. Then, concentrating on the leg that’s sticking out, I had to imagine it with a different perception.
silly gif changes what bullocks this is.
i could see her go both ways! the first time i saw her, she went clockwise and when i read the text, she went almost immediately to counter-clockwise… does that make me special? this is really neat.
I can see her spinning both ways. Clockwise first and the counter clockwise and then back again.
It’s easy enough to see her turn CW and CCW, the real trick is getting her to slow down and stop.
Prior to reading the description I saw her change directions.
i can see her spinning either way. It seems to be anti-clockwise if i look straight at the image but clockwise if i approach the image with my left eye first!
When I first saw this, I saw her going counter clockwise. After a while, I noticed that by concentrating on the shadow of her foot, you can see her body spinning in both directions. Really concentrate.I love this!!!
It’s funny to see how easily people dismiss something as a trick, simply because they lack the ability (or the will) to see what it’s about. No guys, it’s not a “changing gif”, it’s your mind that’s changing.Anyway, I was seeing it turning anti clockwise at the beginning and after that very easily came to the counter clockwise… However after that it took me ages to get her to go anti cw again
I think it doesn’t have much to do with which part of your brain you are using.. It has more to do with imagination.. You start imagining her going in a certain direction and after that your mind simply expects her to go in this direction and you can’t convince yourself that it’s the other because the visual data suggests that the current direction is correct.
I see her spinning both ways. Every time I blink my eyes, she’s spinning in the opposite direction. It gives me a headache.
you can use the shadow at the bottom to change your perception
she goes both ways woot
John was wrong in saying it’s a gif trick. I watched it, noticed it changing directions and thought the same thing. I got my brother and mom to check it out as well, and I’d tell them when it switched directions for me, they thought I was just messing with them! It’s really wild!
At first I saw it clockwise, then looked away then looked back and the figure rotated counter clockwise. After watching it rotate from one direction to the other, I began to look at the knee. Focusing my attention on the knee I could make it look like the figure was just going side to side. Very interesting!
I could actually see both ways, but I was watching it closely. It seemed to me that every time I began to read the article, my mind would register that it had changed directions. Strange.
At first it only went counterclockwise for me, but then I concentrated really hard and forced it to go the other way and it did… It was pretty weird. I had to treat it like a Magic Eye though for it to work for me.
I saw both. It was easy. Close my eyes and think of science and it’s counter clockwise. Close then and think of abstract art and it’s clockwise.
It took me a while to see it as anti-clockwise. Looking directly under the image so that it was kind of blurry helped a great deal.
At first I saw her spinning clockwise, and wasn’t sure how she could be seen going the other way. That was until I read the end of the article mentioning focusing on the feet. As I forced myself to not see the foot on the ground going clockwise as I had instinctively, all of a sudden I could see her going counter-clockwise as if she had been all along.
Additionally, I just noticed that by focusing on that foot I’m able to switch what I see back and forth quite easily.
I was able to make it go both ways but I am still not sure if it is not the graphic itself because it seems as if it is hard to control if that is the case.Mind you I have only given it about 10-15 minutes tops but it seems like it is the graphic that is changing and not the eyebrain thing the article is mentioning. Can anyone actually tell? I am thinking of trying to download the flash file and go over it frame per frame.
wow my brain was trippin left then right funny
man! this is incredible… i saw her go both ways… YAY!
I was able to see her spin in either direction without difficulty.
It’s based on your perception of up and down as much as left and right. Is her dropping as it comes toward you and rising as it sweeps behind her? Are you sure?Whoever said this is a gimmick or prank isn’t using any of their brain.
I can only see it clockwise unless i force myself to think shes going the other way and even then she ends up spinning clockwise again anyways
when we do a calculation/analysis on something ( thinking)..it will spin to counter clockwise, ……. happen to me !!!
First clockwise, then started to add up from her feet up and when I got to her middle I glanced at the right side and she started to spin counter. Amazing..
I saw it going both ways before I finished reading the paragraph…I read it again and it seems to switch every time I get to the “counter-clockwise, but then if I only looked at her feet, she started to spin clockwise.” bit…It’s weird, but oddly cool.
Ok so I proved to myself that this was not a hoax because I used my mind to switch her direction via time intervals I can alternate the direction the lady turns by blinking my eyes 2 or 3 times .when I first try’d it took a while but my question is this ,,,,, so do i get at least an atta-boy for my efforts or is it just enough to know I’m in with the elite 14%
She doesn’t spin all the way around for me. her leg goes to the left and then bounces back to the right, and then back left again. She never actually spins all the way around. does this happen to anyone else.
It’s easy to see her switch directions if you just concentrate on her shadow and then move up to her body.
this was so interesting… originally, i saw it clockwise and i couldnt figure out how it was counter clockwise. but finally, i covered the waste down with my hand and only saw the waste up… and it i saw it! and when i took my hand away it stayed the same… but it suddenly seemed as if it switched feet! maybe i was just hallucinating
Once you know what each side of your brain does what its easy to change which way she goes. And the % of the population thing, think about it, think about how jammed full the US is. And the people that can change it back and forth just think more than others that cant.
haha this is so cool. i can see her move both ways. it just sort of randomly changes on me =P
i can get her to spin both ways quickly. i zone out while staring at it like looking at the road as a passenger in a car whos bored out of their skull. my eye’s water you have to relax and disassociate i’am good at it.
is this true or a trick question can you let me know
I only saw it go clockwise, but then followed the adivce of the guy that said think of math equations. I thought of the old algebra method to break up x squared equations (FOIL method) and the woman suddenly switched direction to counterclockwise – awesome!
at first she was going clockwise then all of a sudden she started going the other direction in my mind and i couldn’t get her to go back. weird.
Good fun this, gives me a little motionsickness.. but yes both ways..Just look away and think about it, n she turns the other way.. back n forth.. fun stuff!
I tell you what, even more fun! If you concentrate a little the shadow is going one way whilst her body is going the other! LOL, nice!
Hi Gary,It is debatable if this test really does testify if by seeing the lady spin in one direction, it means you are using your left or right part of the brain. Nevertheless, some people can only see her spin in one direction only. Other people see her oscillate from left to right like a pendulum does. If you can see her spin in both directions, then good for you
Either way, it is a nice optical illusion. It your perception of reality that makes her spin to the left or to the right.
Yep. I can see her spin both ways. I just have to look down at her feet then glaze my eyes over a bit. After a bit of practice I could watch her spin in one direction and then abruptly start spinning in the other direction. It’s some pretty cool stuff.
at first i only could see her going counter clockwise then i just tried focusing on a clockwise motion and she began spinning clockwise it was rather interesting
i saw her go both ways – saw clockwise first, then counter right after :3
at first it was doin a counterwise spin.after reading some of the article next to it , it suddenly flipped to other direction.then back again.after completion of article it suddenly switched back clockwise .very interesting!!
Come on people, stop talking about this “try creative thoughts / try mathematical calculations” to force yourself to use a certain side of your brain (which presumably causes the rotational direction of the animation to switch). It has been documented numerous times that your brain doesn’t process information in such a strict left / right fashion. Look it up for yourself if you don’t believe me. Here’s an article for starters: http://scienceline.org/2007/10/29/ask-hsu-spinning-girl-right-left-brain-hemispheres/.Does this mean that people who claim to be able to flip the rotational direction of the animation by using creative thoughts / mathematical calculations are talking nonsense? Well, yes, in fact they are. This whole left / right brain myth reminds me of another well-known myth regarding the brain, one that is also often invoked by laymen, i.e., non-scientists: the “fact” that humans are only using 10% of their brain. It’s nice material for those feel-good people out there that want (you) to believe that one has more potential than one is currently aware of, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s simply NOT true.It has been shown through brain-monitoring experiments that people actually use all parts of their brain, though not (always) simultaneously. Again, do not take my word for it, just look it up for yourself (Google for “10% myth”). A link for starters: http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/tenper.html (yes, even kids should be able to understand this, judging from the fact that it’s called “Neuroscience For Kids”).Besides, do you really think evolution would “keep” a brain that has to be fueled all the time while only 10% is being used? Rather inefficient (and if you don’t “believe” in evolution because it’s “just a theory”, here’s a link for you: http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Hangar/2437/theory.htm).Nice animation though
.
Hi guys, I have another nice test to check if you can coordinate your hand with your foot. It is an easy and fun experiment. Go check out the hand foot coordination test. Don’t forget to share your experience.
I really dont know why, but I can controll my mind to see it the way I want!! Doesnt really matters, Left or Right, whatever I choose!!! I like it!!! It´s funny!
i see her goin in both directions and i can kind of change which direction i precieve her to be spinning at will but its hard and it takes awhile…this is really cool to in case you cant gather this from the above comment
The easy way to make her turn both ways is to either focus on the sentences or the picture on the side, then looking back at the image. By focusing on the writing you are using your left “logical” side of the brain. By concentrating on the picture of the cup and imagining coffee, you are using the creative “right” side of your brain. It also works if you imagine the equation e=mc2 overlayed or focus on the shades in the background. I also manage to make it switch by either focusing on the eliptical movement of her hand or foot and then focus on the shape of her figure. Try find what it takes to stimulate each side of your brain…
I see her spin both ways. So what does that mean. I’m in a handful of people that what, can use both sides of their brains? Is that it?
I dont see her spining at all. Does that mean i’m crazy? I s**t on it!
i can see her going both ways. i find if i cross my eyes for a sec she switches directions.
I saw her spin in both directions. Woot! I am in one of 14%
This is so impossible. Her leg goes from one side to the other, it doesn’t even move the other way at all. You are all dumb.
When i first saw her, she was definetely rotating counter-clockwise. however, after looking again i could make it out so she spun clockwise, now when i look at her is looks as if she is swaying back and fourth from left to right
I can see her go both ways
Weird…at first I saw her going clockwise, then I scrolled down and read a few comments, then when I looked at her again she was going counter-clockwise. I repeated this and then she was going clockwise again.
I had a lot of fun with this.
I can see it spinning in both directions. After I’d gotten the hang of it, I played around until I could make her switch direction with each turn. My head hurts now!
TIPS for seeing her both ways – try looking at her from the corner of your eye… and she’ll switch … and then quietly move your gaze to her.
I can see her going both way’s with no problems…i wonder what that means???
Couldn’t you use this to study which portion of the brain is working most actively in an individual during certain activities as apposed to needing to observe the brain directly.
The left half of each of your eyes (retina) is accessed by the right side of your brain, and vice versa. This makes eye dominance as questionable as brain hemisphere dominance. There is a lot of literature to contradict dominance perception. Fun game, though.
For me its very easy to change from one point of view to another. I just have to let the picture out of focus for a second to change direction.
Both ways. I can do the same thing with the blades of a ceiling fan. Ladies, I’m available.
i can see both
well, I didn’t think I could do it at first, but as I went to look away I managed to make her turn the other way, then I managed to flip her back and forth in different directions, how cool, I’m part of 14% ahahxx
at first i seen it moving counter clockwise but then i got it to switch and i couldnt get it to switch back so i gave up and started reading the comments and when i went back up it was spinning counter clockwise again
Really weird. I consider myself a left-brained individual, but after a but of right-brained clockwise stuff, I decided to bookmark the page, right clicked, and she changed direction. I looked back to her in astonishment and she was frantically switching back and forth. Crazy stuff.
I saw her spin clock-wise. My daughter saw her spin counter clock-wise. Then we both saw the opposite. Very interesting picture.
i can see her spinning both ways… the easiest was to make her switch from clockwise to counter-clockwise was to start singing the lyrics to a song to myself. but this is a very cool thing.
i saw her spin clockwise but when i used me peripheral vision i could see her spin counter clockwise so i guess that would be saying i saw her do both
At first counter-clockwise, then after a while clockwise
Yeah! the brain is huge man! i see her both directions! i don’tknow how it’s happening but she changes directions freely , like i’m not in control of it!
It kept changing. It just keeps changing. GAH.
when i first saw her spinning clockwise and then i glanced at her feet. and then she started moving counter clockwise. it’s neat to see. i find it harder to make her go back from counter to clockwise. then clockwise to counter.
I can see the figure turning in a semicircle – back and forth, without making a full circle one way or another. I can keep that up indefinitely, or I can let it go in whatever direction I want it to. It isn’t hard.
I first saw her spinning clockwise. then, while I was reading the text, she started spinning counter clockwise. As soon as I stopped reading she was spinning again clockwise. Now I can see her dancing one turn clockwise and the other counter clockwise. I like it!
At first I saw her spinning clockwise, but when I read that she could spin both ways, I saw her start to spin counterclockwise. After that I could change it at random.
I could see the figure spin in both directions. Then I tried an experiment. I closed my eyes and imagined her spinning in one direction and when I opened my eyes, that’s the way she spins. I can do this consistently.
When it shifts from cw to ccw and back she seems to do a little jump. Is that really my brain doing that, because my brain registers it as an effect in the graphic. Just wondering. Also, seriously, why *is* she naked. I’m forced to feel more skeptical because I’m staring at a graphic with nipples. Seriously, was that really necessary? How cold is this room she’s spinning in?
Why would you assume she is naked? You could very well assume that she is wearing one of those ballerina spandex costumes.
At first when I see her, she is spinning counter-clockwise. But when I started reading the paragraphs about her, she turns clockwise. It’s a continuous cycle back and forth for me.
I see it clockwise at first, then if I start reading and only look out of my peripheral vision at her she spins counter-clockwise. If I focus enough, I can look at her and she continues to move CC, but if I look away and look back, it’s clockwise again.
For me, it starts off going clockwise. Then, just randomly it switches back and forth. I guess that I can see both sides without any work.I have noticed though that when I look away from the picture to the right (the words) she automatically starts spinning the other way. When I look back at her she keeps spinning counter-clockwise. When I blink while I’m still looking at her, she changes back to clockwise. But again, if I just stare at it for a while, it just randomly changes directions.
It took me no time for me to see her going in both directions.
I also saw a jump when she switched directions. I just thought it was my brain.
I can make her jump one way and then the other by blinking. It feels like there’s a subtle shift in my brain, right at the top of my scalp, but with some perspective, she dances for me.The 3D cube drawing we learn in grade school, if you can make that exchange internal walls for external walls, it’s the same feeling.
At first I thought it could only go clockwise. Then when I started reading the text and looked back over a paragraph later, it was counter-clockwise. It seemed that if I looked at something else and looked back a few seconds later, it would switch direction.
The head leaning seems to lead the spin hence the counter clockwise spin, but if you blink rapidly or look away and back again it can change direction…It also changes if someone talks in your ear and then talks in the other ear…So I can see both and change it at will
Fun…
I can see her going both directions. Though the first direction I see her going in is clock-wise.
I can only see her going clockwise. I did see her going counterclockwise only after I went to the “help the lady spin” post. After a minute, she went to back to clockwise. I can’t make her spin any other way. I did see her sway back and forth – not go all the way around. That was pretty freaky! Thanks for posting it.
When I first looked at her, she was spinning CW. As soon as I started reading the first sentence on the right side of the image, she began spinning CCW. I see her switching directions when I look at the words on either side of the image.I asked my husband to come take a look, but he sees her spinning only CW.
I have found that if I stare at the outter foot as her leg reaches its furthest distance left and right, i can make her always face forward and just flip flop back and forth… very very strange.
I saw her spin counter-clockwise at first, then she transitioned to clockwise. I kept looking at her for a little while, and she went back to counter-clockwise. Then I focused on a different part of her body, and she was going clockwise again.Weird but very cool.
i saw clockwise first, then i made ehr spon the otehr then back…if you unfocus you can see her top spin a different way than her bottom half.i am naturally a lefty
first saw her counter-clockwise, watched for a few seconds, then almost instantly she was moving clockwise- I could not reverse itfor awhile, but it took looking at her feet, and not her hands.. Then, she was bouncingfrom left to right and not spinning at all!It was funny! (ha ha ha, did anyone else do that one?)
Loved it. Nice one… See it both ways and it inspires me to create a few more things I may ask for your help on. Thanks!
I can see both ways the girl is dancing but I don’t have contol over it.
she never turn around 360 degrees
I can see it rotate both ways as well but very intermittently. currently has up a number brain teaser that should be checked out!
Great stuff!…I too need to look at the feet for a direction change. Sometimes closing one eye and switching to the other one seems to help! Martin
how cool I saw her move clockwise at first then as I read towards the bottom i noticed her moving counter clock wise out of the coner of my eye. I then tried to get her to switch back and forwared I done this by thinking of number facts then colour facts then shoping lists.
Hahaha, this is amazing!!! I can see her spin the way i want! Does that means i can use both sides of my brain equally?
Come on everyone, this is the graphic that is changing. It has nothing to do with your brain or your lack of using both sides. It changes to rotate both ways periodically.
I absolutely loved this. All I had to do to see it spin both sides was read or type.
I first saw it spinning clockwise, I couldn’t force myself to see it going the other way. I had to look through the image to see it spin the other way. When it spins the other way the angle you view her from changes. It is not animated to change directions by the way, It is a normal function of the human brain. Whatever information you brain is lacking it makes up the rest. Since there is no highlights to show you the 3d shape of the object it is left for our mind’s to decide the detail. This is not a “graphic that is changing”. Not everything is a deception, no need to jump to such hasty and ill-informed conclusions.
IT is possible to make her “sway” with the moving leg, or control clockwise or counter clockwise movement. All you need to do is focus on the intersection of her legs. If you control your mind and “force” the the leading leg either in front of the stationary leg, you can then force your mind to “see” the rotational direction or even swaying.ALSO, it is true that if you do multiplication facts, or other math facts in your head while watching, and then think about a vacation or the smell of roses, or paintings, she will change direction right in front of your eyes! Try it!
The person that wrote about doing math equations while looking at the woman is correct. I did this an immediately she started spinning to the right. Strange thing this mind of ours.
The word in the text is spelled SUPPOSEDLY, not “supposably”………..LOL
This was a very interesting exercise. As I watched the woman spinning, I saw her going first in one direction and then she suddenly reversed direction. Eventually I was seeing her making frequent reversals, sometimes only going 180 degrees and then changing direction. I also found your other 2 images interesting where the moving white outlines gave visual cues which determined the direction of spin.
Saw the clockwise spin first. When I looked away… I was seeing the counter CW spin. I was convinced that the picture had been altered to show both ways, so I stared at it, waiting to see the switch. At that point, it went back and forth at will. Now I’m a little dizzy!!!!!
She’s only going one way for me.
I’ve seen this trick a few times, sometimes I see her spinning clockwise first, others counterclockwise first. Either way, after a few seconds of focus, I see it switch suddenly. The coolest part is right before it actually switches in my brain, I can kind of see parts of it switching but other parts not…kind of like my brain is on a lag. The last time, I actually managed to see the top of her body spinning in one direction and the bottom of her body spinning in the other. You can control it, you just have to concentrate. It’s cool.
I can see the lady turning both directions with out a problem. If I am reading below the image I can see her leg swing from right to left insted of going in circles.
this thing cheats because her reflection on the flour indicates that she is spinning clockwise therefore subconsciously you see her spin clockwise
It’s looks as if she is just spinning to the clockwise but if u look her feet and then look her again you’ll note that she spin at the other way too.
I first saw the lady going counter-clockwise, but when I got bored I turned my head to look at something else and I saw out of the corner of my eye that she was turning clockwise. I was purplexed of course, but I figured out that I could switch which way she went by switching which of her feet went first.
lol, i saw her spinning clockwise at first, but as i was reading, i kinda rolled my eyes and wanted to see her spin the other way, and when i opened them, SHE WAS. then i kinda stared at her feet for a while, and i could see her spinning both ways at once with my periferal vision. thats pretty sweet. u figured out a way to switch between hemispheres.
I find that if you look at her foot that is under her centre of gravity, you find that her toes are only moving from left to right, and this tricks the mind into thinking that the whole body is moving in one particular direction. Now i’m no scientist, I actually haven’t finished high-school yet, but if you can focus your attention to a certain point as I managed to do and to see it’s only moving from side to side, you should be able to see both directions as I have.Worked for me, that’s my two cents worth.
I saw her spinning in clockwise direction a first but when i started reading the text i noticed that it was spinning in anticlockwise direction. Again it took it a minute or two to figure out it was again spinning in clockwise direction. So perhaps I saw her spinning in both directions.
That’s funny i can see her spinning in both directions, just close my eyes imagine her spinning to right, open my eyes and it’s ready. same to the left. sometimes she changes direction when i’m looking. A lot of friends only see her in one directions, no matter if I gave them the instructions, it didn’t work for them.
yeah!! i can see her from both sides
Saw her go CW 12X then shift to CCW 15X.
i could see it go both ways…cool.
that is crazy! I saw it go clockwise, then counterclockwise, then clockwise again…but it’s weird cuz her head moves too…ah!
I mostly see her turn clockwise, but sometimes I see her turn counterclockwise. When I see her change directions, it’s not like I consciously try to see her turn in both directions. Very bizarre!
i truly think it is with the side of your brain you’re using because i was able to make her shift back in forth by twitching my head to one side or the other… i know that sounds absolutely ridiculous but its so true!
oh wow! if you cover one eye and then the other it will switch depending on which eye you cover… at least for me it will
I saw it first going clockwise and tried to make it go counter clockwise but couldn’t. I answered an IM that popped up and while I was typing there all of a sudden it was going counter. Its really cool…. Glad to know I use both sides of my brain!!!!
Look closely at the girl and watch one spot without moving your vision or using you preferable vision. I studied it intently and found out that the girl spins in both directions and switches up every so often. check it for your self and see.
I can make her dance …really.what does that mean?
I can see her rotating clockwise; in peripheral vision (looking elsewhere on the screen), I can see her totating counter-clockwise, but as soon as I watch the picture itself, it’s back to clockwise again.
I could easily see her going both ways, especially if I shut my eyes for a moment and imagined her switching directions. What a trip!
It’s so easy for me and my son to see both directions without thinking!
It keeps moving back and forth for me. It’s kinda strange. I’m trying to master it so I can change the rotation more consciously.
If you stare at this long enough and find a way to change her rotation at will, once you leave the website you still picture her spinning a certain direction depending on how you think/imagine. It’s pretty fascinating.
Hey! Yeah, the statistic’s gotta be bull…I mean, almost everyone who has posted can see her go both ways. She started clockwise for me, I stared for awhile, and she went counter after a couple minutes. It was hard to switch her back to clockwise at first, but eventually I found out that (for me) focusing on the hand and arm that appears “behind” her at any given time makes it really easy. Try that if you’re having trouble switching!
If we base our statistics on just how many people write these comments, then it is not very relevant. A lot of people read this article and do not write any comments. Also, if you see her go both ways you are more inclined to write about it than if you did not.
lol, it’s pretty easy to change her spinning directions. i can see both ways too. haha, this is fun !!
Well, I pulled the gif down and opened it in Imageready. Scanned through it very carefully, and there is no secret switch up in the gif. Ran through it for a while, and yes, even after scanning it frame by frame and finding no switches, I could at will change the direction the woman spun it, simply by deciding which direction she should spin. I was skeptical until I proved it for myself. This is no trick, beyond the given trick of being an optical illusion.
First look gives the impression of anti clock wise movement, but if i look at her from the corner of my eye, in about two circles i can see her clock wise and do so the other way around too….. but i see more of anti clock wise than clock wise…..i guess i mostly use right side of my brain and at times force myself to use the left side too????? lol….. yeah but i can see her spin both ways….. to do so, i look just for 2 or 3 seconds from the corner of my eye……
For those of you who are skeptics, there is nothing tricky about the graphic. my boyfriend and i stared at it together, shouting out counter or clock, and we both got very different responses. this works! and we were both able to see it go both ways, and sometimes she even started waving.
I look at at and it spins clockwise, but when i read the article bit, it spins counter-clockwise in my peripheral vision. However, when i read the article a third time, it didnt work.So i just stared at the centre point (the middle foot) and it slows down and speeds up in a cycle for a while then changed direction.
Well shaped, as that figure is, i`m visualizing her doing a pirouette in the desired direction I want, and that works for me.(to get it spinning left or right when I look at it…thats what I mean.. no, really!)
This has already proven to be a fake test. It is simply an animation that has the “dancer” rotating in both directions. Which one you see depends on when the sit has the animations starting and stopping. Watch it long enough and you’ll see.
she isn’t spinning at all!!! If you look at her feet only you can clearly see her oscilating. left to right and then left again. When you look higher up she then starts ‘spinning’ but that is obviously only an interpretation of the movement within our brain.if you stsrt from the oscilating fase it is dead easy to choose whether you’d like her to go clockwise or counter clockwise. I cannot believe only 14% of the people see her spinning both ways. Maybe only 14% can change direction without looking at the feet first.
Before I even read the commentary on the side I thought the image was ‘dancing’ because I saw her moving both ways. Once I read it I was kind of surprised that people can’t see both. It was kind of hard for me to switch back and forth after I read what it was for, but I managed. Kind of a cool way to pass the time.
at first I thought the spinning was controlled by the program (not so ) as soon as I read that some people see it spin one way while others the reverse I blinked my eyes thinking of a direction and that is what i saw freakin trippy
I first saw her spinning clockwise, then I was able to make her spin counter clockwise, It takes a minute to shift between the two directions.
i can see her moving both ways but it’s involuntary.i try to make her go the other way but i can’t. just randomly she’ll switch directions.
at first I just saw her moving clock-wise and it seemed impossible to think of it going any other way. it took me a minute, I had to study her hips and see how the movement is ambiguous and eventually I got it. now it seems impossible for her to move any other way than counter-clock wise!
what does it mean if you see her alternating direction every half turn, with no continuous direction?
Both ways and can stop it and make it go opposite–totally under my control
See the shadow of one of her feet? The one that doesn’t stay inside the frame for long. First feel the rhythm of the animation. Then stare at the lower left edge of the frame where the shadow is. Every time it disappears from view, presto! The lady starts spinning in the opposite direction!Try it. Works like a charm.Only 14% of the U.S. population can see the lady spin in both directions? Ha! I believe that with this technique, 100% now can. We can all certainly trick our own brains! No need for math calculations or other stuff.
Initially, I saw her going right, and then she suddenly switched directions. Now, she’s just all over the place.
I am able to make her go clockwise, counter clockwise and even just swing her leg back and forth rather rotate depending on where i look. i can do it instantly now. basically to make her go CW i look at her head or just above it. to make her go CCW i look at her feet or just below them and to make her just swing her leg back and forth i look at the word How an inch or so above the image.
i instinctively saw her going counter clockwise, but after a few moments was able to see her go clockwise. my boyfriend saw the opposite but after talking about it, he also could see both ways.peaceloveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
At first I saw the girl going clockwise, then after looking for a minute or so she was moving counter clock wise. But I observed that if u look at her arms for few secs and at a blink of an eye, she changes her direction.
wao,i dont know what others think about this but after watching for a little time first i can see it moving in any direction whenever i want. waosohan
Cool trick,I was sent the link by a friend, scrolled down the page breifely, scrolled back up and the dancer was spinning the oher way round, read the topic and now i can make her never finish a cycle. Pretty funny heh!
Oh! intresting! Now it seems that i only see her back! Its harder to see her making a whole cycle!
I’ve been starring at this for more than 2 days. At first i saw her going ccw, after I read the article I saw her going the other way. Since then I only see her going cw and can’t make her go the other way anymore without looking at those helpful images. It is frustrating!
This is incredible. I see the woman spinning counter-clockwise then i look to the right to read the article and she starts spinning the other direction. I guess you use most of the right side of your brain to read?
I was able to see her going in a direction then every time her arm moved accross her body, I am able to change the direction i percieve her going within like a second.
So I did an experiment with my friendusing a newspaper, and 2 blank sheets of paperso we both saw it moving clockwise at firstand we both read a paragraph and looked up and it didn’t change, did a math problem & looked up again – and it changed for me but not her, drew a picture & looked up again – and it changed back to clockwise for me – but it stayed clockwise the whole time for her. Then we just kept staring at it, and she eventually got it to change just by staring and a lot of times we weren’t seeing the same thing. So it’s not a GIF trick or a left or right brain thing, it’s a mind game.
Wow, I can pretty much make her spin back and forth on command. NEAT.
I looked at the image before reading the text next to it and saw her spinning counter-clockwise, and I’m already aware that I am left-brained. After a good minute or so of focusing, I was able to see her torso spin clockwise while the feet remained counter-clockwise. But eventually I could see it all clockwise. It took less time to see it counter-clockwise again though. I thought it was pretty entertaining..
This is pretty interesting brain stuff. WHen I initailly looked at her, she was spinning clockwise, than as I started reading the words on the right side of the screen she started to spin CCW. Eventually, as I was reading the material underneath her feet, she would spin only about 15 degrees in each direction, she did not spin fuly cw or ccw, she was stuck only making a quarter spin in each direction ( this only occured when I was looking at the words underneath her feet).
I saw her spin in both directions. It’s just trippy graphic. I personally think someone created it to go in both directions.
At first she was spinning clockwise. then i took a minute to think about how this might work and then refocused and she was spinning the other way
i even felt smth in my head when i first saw it going counterclockwise… smth strange… like a switch ))
I saw both ways
At first i only saw her going clockwise, then I scrolled up so only the top of her head was visible, focused on it, then scrolled down and she was going counter-clockwise. And now when I look at her from head to toe, she changes directions.
I saw her spin is both directions right of the bat.
I saw her go clockwise, but then I stared at the shadow, and made her go the other way around..
Okay this is odd… I looked at this a week ago and I saw her going both ways… then again the other day and she was spinning counterclockwise… not today, clockwise….Odd.
She keeps switching directions every few seconds. She’s very pretty.Proportionate and shapely.Anatomically correct.Maybe it’s only because I’m on shrooms and listening to aphex twin. I can’t get her to stay in one direction.
No no no, you’re messin’ with me now.Her legs are spinning one way and her top half is spinning the other. This girl is only so perfect and pretty because she is a robot.
I did it on my own by looking at different corners of the screen. I figured out how to control it by reading peoples’ tips. If I am adding numbers in my head she will spin clockwise. If I am mixing colors in my head she will spin counter clockwise. This was exciting to learn.
At first she would only go ccw. But after a few minutes I concentrated on her feet and voila!!, she started turning the other way. Now, after some practice I can make her turn at will. This is so cool. I feel like an alien hehe
There appears to be no gimmick to this. At first I could only see it going CW, but after a few moments I glanced away and it changed to CCW in my peripheral vision. I resumed looking at it and thought that it might just be on a timer, but after focusing on the outward points of the raised leg (3 and 9 on the clock) I learned to switch the perspective I brought to it, forcing it to, as my mind percieved it, swing the leg back and forth in front of itself. It’s all about the imaginary lines we give the structure. Very neat.
WTF?..i saw her move clockwise first..then i kept looking at her feet and it was as if she changed directions..
well, im weird.i can see her go cw and ccw (like most people)but i can see her legs coing cw and her upper body go ccw!realy fun. (it happend when i whas thinking om mathematiqs qnd creqtive stuff)
isee her going in both directions after closing and opening th eyes
I can see her going both ways!
She swings both ways. I like that. Nice nipples, too.
I see her going in BOTH directions. Now what does that mean exactly? How do I differ from someone who sees only one direction, specifically? And, for those that see her going only in one specific direction, i.e. clockwise or counterclockwise respectively, is there a difference in one direction over another?
This is amazing!I automatically saw her spinning clockwise because I kept focusing on her feet. When I focused on her hands she began going counter clockwise. I could make her stop and start in either direction the longer I stared at the image.
I was able to see both rotations very easy without any staring at particular spots. Just neat really not sure if it is a right or left brain thing but I will say neat. Those that concentrate I am sure could see it spin in the opposite direction. It is like right and left eye dominance. People are right or left eye dominant but can still trick their other eye to see from the none dominate eye if they focus with it. The key is the immediate focus not what you force your body to do. Everyone does have a dominant side. May have to research this a little to see if left or right side brain has anything to do with it. Right side is the creative side thinkers and left side is the analytical side thinkers or vice versa.
When I fist say this it was counter clockwise, then in 10 seconds or less I had it going clockwise, 5 seconds later I could see her move any way I wanted without really thinking about it, then I read the post. It make me feel smart.
I can make it so she doesnt turn around at all, for me it depends what foot I’m looking at, the foot in the air goes anti clockwise and looking at the foot on the ground makes her spin clockwise
this is amazing, i saw it counter clockwise and then i read the side and started seeing her clockwise and it took min to get back to counter clockwise. i really like the suggestion someone else made about doing math equations or thinking creatively makes you see it counter clockwise. i did 5+6= 11 and then i did 12+12= 24 and it turned counter clockwise immediately.
If you notice, her head tilts to the left when you see her spin counter clock wise and her head tilts to the right when you see her spin clock wise. If this were a real interpretational test, her head would always lean to the same side and only her direction of rotation would change. Sorry guys, this proves this is a graphic image that is randomly altered to spin first one way and then the other.
I needed a couple of minutes but i could eventually see her spinning in both direction and i am able to change the spinning direction at will, nice trick though
i first saw her spinning counter clock wise then clokwise. i can make my self see both but i have to think about it and try hard lol
I can see both ways easily…. I can even stop her midspin and have her go the other way without making a full spin in one direction.
Uhh… It appears to me that the image randomly keeps changing sides. Your brain is not playing tricks on you…you’re playing tricks on your brain.
I can change her moving direction very simply. Reading text on any other part of the page, her spinning direction changes quickly back and forth as your brain begins to deal with the new information. It works for me like that.
both ways changing direction randomly. What does that say about me I wonder?
silly people it does spin both directions you are being fooled into thinking that it only spins one way
i feel like this is a joke if you watch her head, when her back is to you it switches sides depending on the direction it is spending. but at the same time i believe its real because when i imagine something and watch it starts to spin counter clockwise… just wondering if anyone else notices her head switching sides????????
I can control what direction she spins just by thinking what direction I want her to go. But the statistics that only 14% of people can see her going both ways must be wrong, almost everyone here has been able to see her spin both ways?
i understand everyone is special i did not read all of these posts but i did read 5 or 10 the question i would like to ask, post is 1 what direction is the program aimed to and all i can say is i first witnessed is ccw and as i read what was written next to it went in the opposite direction so from what i see it is dependent on which eye you are focusing with in sports we call it eye sight Left or Right strong
This is truly interesting. So many people with so many different ideas. One sees one thing the other sees something else! For what it’s worth I see our spinning lady freely going back and forth from clockwise to counter clock wise .I have tried this with my friend and I both watching at the same time and she sees her spinning only one way while I see her going both ways, so how could it be a trick as some suggest? Are the folks using only one side of their brain at some psychological disavantage? Again interesting …
Yo people are idiots. This is an animation. First she spins one direction. Then she spins another. It has nothing to do with focal points, covering your eye, sending it to your grandfather… nothing. But I did truly enjoy the though of all of you mroons sitting there squinting, hurting your head, poking yourself in the eye.Quick poll… how many of you rely on Fox News for your world view of current events?Hahahahah
It cannot be only %19 of people that can make her go both ways. It took my a couple minutes but I found a way to make her spin immediately in both directions. To make her spin clockwise, turn your head and read a word front to back quickly while twitchy your eyes, that will make your brain work harder to identify the word. To make her spin counterclockwise do the same thing but without trying to read a word, just move your eyes to a blank part and twitch them back quickly back forth and thats it. If you master this, you can spin her 2 times in 1 second.
Whoever thinks that it is a trick caused by the gif’s animation, doesn’t know what he’s talking about. How the hell can that person explain the following:I looked at the illusion together with a friend. He saw her go one way, while I saw her go the other way. That WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE if it’s the trick lays in the animation.
I think its silly to read what some people say, this proves people can and will fall for almost anything. This is awesome though
ok really people! its just a well rendered animation! she changes direction! on purpose. has nothing to do with perception.
I can se her spin both ways! lie the other person on here when i looked at her feet she changed direction! x
At first I could only see clockwise, but after focusing on the shadow of her foot I was able to change to CCW, very weird.
I seen her go both ways it was fairly easy for me to manipulate the direction I seen her move.
I really didn’t think i’d be able to get her to move at all in the other way… she was going clockwise and I focused for maybe 30 sec and all of a sudden she was going counterclockwise. I focused again and she went the other way… does it mean anything if you can switch her back and forth??
I can see her going both directions, but I can also control the way she moves. I can actually make her switch back and forth before she even spins around..so it looks like shes just swaying back and forth with her legs and never turning around.
At first I saw it clockwise, then I got it so spin counter-clockwise… then I figured out how to change it… weird
She was turning clockwise for me [clock wise = If I'm looking at her feet from her point of view I'm making a clockwise move]Blur your focus on her, there is a probability that you will see her spinning in the opposite direction.-varun
This is just amazing.. at first i only saw it clockwise.. but with ur suggestion i looked at the feet and i figured out how to make it switch directions at my discretion after a few minutes.. initially it required me to half focus on it.. but now i can do it however i want. This is so freaky and cool.. I wish i could show some of the other people what i can see.
It’s easy. I can see her either way. I don’t know what all the fuss is about. (when she’s spinning clockwise she’s prettier, though)
I can’t see it move at all, I just see a weird picture of a female body with an elongated alien-esque neck that curves forward, her back is facing me and she’s preparing to step forward with her right foot. Does this mean I’m mentally retarded or something? I don’t understand.
i think that she just randomly switches directions and you just have to stare long enough to see it happen.
At first i thought i needed to make her switch from going arse-first to tit-first, but actually its always arse-first. Once i sorted this out, i can make it go in either direction, by looking at the waist area, at will… pretty simple now
Very, very strange. I saw it as clockwise at first and simply couldnt get it to change. However i followed the tip and after tilting my head it moved anti-clockwise instead and then tilt my head to the left and it was clockwise again! Its easy to control and you can see the moment it changes. Very odd though, seeing as tilting my head is surely not changing the part of the brain I use?
I agree that I can amke her spin in etiher direction as will. Got some of the peole her eint he office to try and after a few minutes, yes they all can make her spin either way. Agree, good question , Why is she naked??? not that I mind one bit, but still a good question.
im so confused… at first, I convinced myself that I could control it with various methods, but then I tested it with two friends. We each saw the girl switch directions at the same times. It couldn’t be coincidence that our brains switched which sides they were using at the same time, but other people say that when they tested it with a friend, they thought she was spinning in different directions. I bet it is a trick!
it is actually fixed..the thing is a hoax.. if you pay attention long enough for about a minute.. when it spins counter clock wise.. her right leg is planted straight.. after a minute or so.. it will switch direction and go close wise and the left leg is planted still.. watch it.. you’ll see.. i think this has nothing to do with the left right brain stuff!
I’ve been reading quite a few comments on how it’s not an actual illusion, but rather an animated gif that switches directions after a few seconds or so. I work in an office and me and my co-workers just did a test. There were 7 of us and we looked at the image at the same time. We all managed to make her go the other way, BUT NOT AT THE SAME TIME. This is crucial! Because we all made her spin the other way at different times means that the gif doesn’t periodically change directions.
I can make the girl swing from one direction to the other, while she appear to hop, by focus and refocussing on the image.
I can see her in both directions at will. I noticed it helps if u use this technique:center the image in the screen. look at the center and u will see it in the sense according to which half brain u use the more.but if u look one point some 5 cms above the image, u’ll indirectly see the lady spinning one way, and if u immediately switch ur point of view to 5 cms below the image, u’ll see her spinning the other way.for me, above was counterclockwise and below was clockwise. but might differ according to each person
This thing changes from Counter-Clockwise to CLockwise, but all the while Counter-Clockewise, and Clock-wise are spinning at the same time.It is a trick at the feet, i am not sure if anyone thought about it, but everything has a shadow, a mirror image of themselves on the ground, she has one as well.It may seem when you look at the shadow it is spinning in the exact same direction as the person above, but when you think about mirror images and shadows, you begin to realize the object moves in one direction, while the shadow/mirror image moves the same way except the opposite. This is because when you look at something standing in front of you, their perception is the same except everything is the opposite, If their back is turned to you, everything is the same, right is right, left is left.Look at yourself in the mirror, wave, to yourself, the hand you use to wave, is the had your mirror shows you, but it is not the same hand when you think about it from the third person point of view. You wave with your left Hand, it shows you your left hand, but if you were to wave to a friend standing in-front of you, they would be waving with their right hand.
i like making her do figure eights.(i can switch at will)
Haha, heres one to try… you can kinda switch between cw and ccw by imagining that it goes round the back of her twice in a row.. ie changes direction and goes back the other way… I tried this for a while and eventually managed to imagine that she’s just moving her foot left and right in front!! Looks stupid…
Very clever! The first time I looked, she was going clockwise, and it took some time before I was able to make her spin counter. I can make it change direction when I like, but she doesn’t spin counter for very long – changes back after a few seconds. My six-year-old daughter sees her spin counter clockwise, but can make her spin the other way, but again, not for long before she changes back. My eight-year-old son sees her spin clockwise, and only managed to get her to change dirction once.Very very cool.
I didn’t read through all of the copmments so I don’t know if anyone has metionted this or not…It isn’t an illusion. It is called Top-Down Processing. It is a cognitive function…it is the shadows of the picture causing to brain to go with the logical answer. To some it is more logical to your brain for it to spin clockwise, and for others to see it go counter clockwise. The ability to change is part of the top-down orocessing.
i saw her spin in both directions..so mind blowing
Stare at the point where the heel of the image and the shadow meet. At this vantage point I was able to make the image dance, well, turn to the right and back to the left. I was also able to change what direction the image spun upon will.
Started out counter clockwise. Convinced myself that it could only go that way while reading the paragraph underneath, then she started spinning the other way. LoL. If you just watch her feet I think eventually you can see her switch.
I saw here spinning both ways, changing direction at random intervals and thought it was a trick and that the animated graphics routine was actually making direction changes randomly. So I filmed it for 45 seconds on my video camera and replayed it to eliminate any possible changes created by the movie routine.Multiple playbacks on my camera demonstrated direction changes which occurred at different intervals with every playback. In fact one playback showed no direction change at all and another showed 5 changes. I am now convinced it is not a trick.
It helps at first to stare at just her foot, but after a while it becomes fairly easy. I guess the mind gets trained at switching. It helps to scramble the eyes a bit to break your focus on her.
All I can see just her boobs!
She is not spinning right around like it seems. Yes, it does have its rotation from clockwise to counter, we all can see by looking at it for a few minutes..But look at the leg that spins far out, it is NOT spinning around the other, is it simply staying behine the other making it seem shes doing a whole 360, but the fact is shes only doing a 180 rotate before her hips change her bodys direction making the avarage person think shes going right around…Trust me, if you didn’t get that what I read, and you seriously want to figure it out, stop and read slowly, and test it out by looking at her. Also, another hint after reading, try making your browser only seeing her feet and you’ll get it right away, by looking at her whole body well figuring it out is infact more trickier.
When I first looked at this it reminded me of those pictures with hidden pictures in them that were so popular years ago. I have a whole book of them. You just look at the picture. Then you look away and quickly look back or you can look at the picture and then squint your eyes until it changes to something else. The second way is easiest for me. I have never had a problem with these kind of things. If only 14% of the population can do it, does that mean if you can it is good or is it bad? Or does it mean that you are just different from the other 76% of the world who can’t see everything you do. Makes me think I can really see things differently from others. I’ve always been told I do. I always agree. It’s my rose houred glass!
Its an illusion.I can see it going both ways, but not only that, I can control when she switches from counter to clockwise, then back.
HAHA!!!i can make her go side to side without making a full turn!!!I. AM. COOL.XD
OMFG i was steering at it close up,and took deep breaths and also counting how many times i saw her leg move around towards me (clock-wise) and then after about a minute, the piture distoted for me, like her rightside was going clockwise and her left counter clockwise, oviously left and right conflict, but i awwwww-ed in amazment
NiceBest wishes,Alexhttp://www.w———a.com – cheap pharmacy shop
When I first looked at it, it was spinning clockwise, but then after I saw how it was possible to spin the other way I was able to look at it and see it spinning in either direction. For me looking at her leading hand is what helps me to switch back and forth.
dumb. And I can make it spin as I please.
At first glance she was going counter clockwise….then I wondered if she could switch and she started going clockwise…took a little bit for her to go back to counter clockwise. but I can see both….however this is interesting as I am horrible at standardized tests…but these tests I am remarkable in.hmmmm.
either way, and that means?????

umm…you guys are crazy if you think this is real. it definitely changes back and forth whenever it wants to. check out the legs when her back is turned. see if it doesn’t change from her right leg lifted to her left whether you are thinking about pie or pi. seriously, try to be a little less naive, people.
Erika, I”m sorry to say, but you are not right. It just changes like that for you. My brother looked at it for more than 10 minutes without taking his eyes off her. Guess what? IT DID NOT CHANGE DIRECTIONS FOR HIM.As for me, I can change it when I want to.It doesn’t change when it wants to.
This is sweet…. Took a while. But in the end, I found the sweet spot. The bouncing calf muscle, starting there and focusing on that part, once the direction changes I can keep that sexy lady rotating in that direction until I move my eyes back down to the calf.It took a few minutes to get it working though.
I see both directions.Thx for fun.
my name is chanz im 16 i can see that im using the right side of my brain i was talkin to my history teacher today about humanity using only 40% percent of the brain i was facinated by that and wanted to no more, like how could i even use more… i asked how much a genis uses the answer was 60 to 65% check this out i tried lookin at her feet like one person comment says to see if she would go counter clock wise she slowed for a minute but never went counter clock-wise so i noticed that when you take focus off of her what appears to be a 3d demension is not… so i tried blinking real fast constantly at the picture and her body went the opposite way (counter clock-wise)for people who use the left side of there brain, she might just go to the right for you CHANZ A. DUFF
when i look at her she keeps switching to me left then right right then left
she goes both ways
So I can make her go any direction. I close my eyes and think of something else intently, then open eyes randomly and it changes every time. I have been reading a lot about left handed people, and most southpaws/ambidextrous people can see it relatively easily. Her boobs get bigger also!! lol
At first I saw hes spinning clockwise, then suddenly I made her spin backwards. This is awesome!!!
meiliken, you are showing your ignorance by saying it’s a FACT that she’s only going in one direction. Same for the person who said it’s a trick gif. What most of you are missing, is that when the figure is facing neither the right nor left, the direction she is spinning depends on whether you see her FRONT or her BACK. One person will perceive it as her front, but another will perceive it as her back. That’s why it has to be a silhouette.
Also, most people here have looked at it for ages. But in the original experiment, they may have just based results on the very 1ST time people viewed it. That would explain how only 14% saw both directions initially, but here almost everyone can.
Blink your eyes really fast (after you mastered switching her a few times I guess…) and then she will move from right to left, not turning at all. Back and forth, back and forth… sure its not a fake picture / graphice joke now, its cool
The only way this chick can go both ways in our minds is if she were gay. Only 2% of us realize that it’s a trick and not a mind game.
i didn’t read anything when i first opened the page and immediately saw her spinning clockwise. then after reading the text, i was (without looking at her feet) able to see her spinning counterclockwise. then it was kind of hard to make her go back! pretty neat.
I saw her go counter-clockwise first, then all of a sudden she switched, going the other way. I looked away for a second, and when I looked back she was going counter-clockwise again. I’m not really sure how to switch it back and forth, but I definitely can.
I SAW HER SPINNING IN BOTHSHE RANDOMLY CHANGED WHEN I LOOKED AWAY AND LOOKED BACKIT WAS KINDA FREAKY…
I was watching this stupid picture for 15 minutes AND it is STILL going clockwise!
I find if you cross your eyes then you can see her leg going in a kind of oval shape and then you can choose to see either clockwise or ant-clockwise spinning.
I am 63. I don’t know if age might have any thing do do with right or left brain use. I first saw her spinning clockwise even though I always thought I was left brained. Then after a couple of minutes, I get the spinning to change to counter clockwise. After practicing for a bit to be able to quickly change the direction at will, I discovered that by unfocusing my eyes a bit and looking slightly off to the right side or slightly below the feet, I could get the spin to stop entirely and be replaced by a dancing back and forth motion, instead. Rather mind boggling, but certainly a lot of fun. Maybe it helped that I have always been good at seeing the 3D illusion from the specially made 2 dimensional drawings that were popular a few years back.
is this rigged? i see it going both ways…and it kept switching directions, so watching for a while, i noticed when she is going clockwise, i can see the shadow of her foot go from far right to left of the graphic.BUT when she goes counter clockwise, the shadow does not appear along the bottom of the graphic.explain that. lol.
I saw her spin both ways. First it was clockwise, then counter-clockwise for a bit, then back to clockwise
I can make her switch directions at will. It’s kinda tripping me out. It makes me feel telekinetic.
I can make her switch easily! Counter-Clock wise and clockwise. Than after a couple minutes of doing this I figured out how…she rotated her hands clockwise and counterclockwise, on my order! This is simply amazing.
With a little bit of practice, I can now switch quickly between the two different directions. I started with clockwise, but I noticed by thinking about the shadows of the feet, it just switches for me.
She was going clockwise when I first looked at her, then she swtiched directions when I started reading text, then I glanced away and when I looked back she was clockwise again, but when I read text she switched again.
Awesome! It is hilarious how some people think it is a trick. How ridiculously stupid of them.I will try to master this so that I can perceive her to be spinning whatever direction. It helps to think of the OUTWARD foot, and whether you want to pretend it is CLOSER to you when she does a circle, or whether it is AWAY from you.
This is great, i can see her spin both ways and flick between clockwise and anti clockwise – very clever stuff! Cathy, uk.
I can see her spin in both directions, but most often clockwise. The longer I watch, the more often I see her going the other way. Very interesting!
Thanks for sharing.I can see her in both directions but mostly in clockwise.I find it weird and very interesting!
I’ve seen this thing all over the internet. The Dancer changes direction, it’s programmed to do so. Don’t be so easy to accept everything you are told, there are pranksters around every corner.
I opted for the followup comments of this article so I started to read pretty much all the comments written here. I am amazed that there are quite a few ignorant people that think this image is a trickery. I’ve actually opened this in Photoshop it is not programmed to move in both directions. The reason some see her spin in both is because at a couple of times in her spinning sequence, the brain can’t distinguish if the shape shows a girl looking towards or away from you. Simple as that!It is an optical illusion, it is not a trickery.
I’ve been doing some thinking about the presumably 14%. That could actually be true. Why? Well, not too many people that see this image write comments about it. Then the people who do write, they are usually the people that say they’ve seen it spin both ways. I think that not too many people that can only see her spin one way want to write about their “inability”.Plus at my office, only 2 out of 7 could saw her spin in both directions right away.Maybe that’s what the 14% refers to…the percentage of people that can see her spin both ways right away, without applying any special techniques or concentration.
i saw it going clockwise first. but then i saw it go counterclockwise and then it was switching back and forth between the two.
When I first looked at it, all it did was flip flop between clockwise and counter-clockwise.. I actually had to concentrate in order to make it go one direction, clockwise or counter-clockwise.
this gives me an awful headache. can’t watch her spin more than one rotation. observe that if you click the scroll bar, she freezes. then you see by way of anatomy that her right leg is extended in front of her body. she is tipped to the right, so she will fall that way. she is being turned, she’s not spinning.
I first saw her doing the bird-dance. Now she just stands there with her hands on her hips.
i don’t know if i actually believe that you’re brain controls which way she goes. i’ve stared at the dancer a lot and i can see her go both ways and i really cant figure out how. her feet, i can understand how that has to do with perception or whatever (sorry, not a pro or anything haha), but her right arm changing direction? i just don’t see how that can happen other than by it being a hoax…also, one i get her to switch, i cant make her go back and it is sooo annoying lol.
I am one of the few who after 5 minutes of starring saw her spinning both ways what does that mean?
Logged on saw her spinning ccw. Read article and made her spin cw, then made her spin back and forth. Usually after a blink. Wonder what the other 14% of the weirdo’s have in common with me?
Well, I guess I’m the only person in the world who can’t make it change. I’ve stared and stared and stared and stared. I’ve tried all of the suggestions on this page. It’s no use. She goes clockwise, and that’s that. I can no more make her go counter-clockwise than I can turn her into a hippopotamus. Does this mean something’s wrong with me?
It’s amazing. At first I thought this is fake, but when me and my mother were looking at the same picture and saw different things at the same time, I am now sure, it’s real. For now, I can spin the figure the way I want, I just need to imagine it spinning in my mind clockwise or counter-clockwise. It is even possible to stop the figure. Then, it doesn’t spin to any side, just swing.
In the first look I see her spinning clockwise. I can make it rotate in both directions while looking at it. But it seems more stable standing on one leg when it’s on clockwise!I am a left handed…
I could see her going both ways. At first I was convinced that it was a hoax an that the site caused her to switch directions. But the more I looked at her and watched her directions switch, the less likely that seemed.
Wow, I got her to spin both ways whilst trying to work out if she was spinning anti-clockwise or just clockwise.
I saw the lady spin both ways, but sometimes I saw just her upper body stay still while her legs twitched as if not knowing which way to go.

i can change the direction at will, within seconds if i want to and i believe its probably possible for everyone to.look the the shadow that goes along the bottom, the shadow of her raised foot…if you concentrate on that you can change the direction really easily because you can see the shadow approach from either direction.it is then possible to change direction really easily and quickly.
I saw her spin clockwise first, then felt a mental switch go off and she went the other direction. So I looked at her for about 30 seconds and subtly adjusted my mind so she would spin the other direction again. Then it only took me five to seven seconds to do it again, then I did it again more quickly. I guess that makes me one of the small percentage of people who can do it… but what does THAT mean?
Miggz said that staring at the feet makes it happen that you can change her direction easily – I suppose the people who stare at her torso have a breast fixation, and people who stare at the feet have a foot fetish then.
I’ve always been able to see her go both ways. I can make her change directions too.
Oh, and for those of you who think it’s a hoax, it’s not. I saved the image and opened it in ImageReady because a friend of mine thought it wasn’t real, and it’s definitely real. It’s just how you see her–i.e. If you see her going in one direction, her leg looks like it’s pointing to the front and then it swings to the back, but if you see her going the other way, her leg looks like it’s in the back and then it swings to the front. It’s all in your mind.
I can see her both ways… .Just close your eyes, and use one eye. Cover the other eye and see… its possible. (for me at least)
i saw her go counter clockwise than as soon as i turned my eyes she would go clockwise…she kept changing the whole time on me. it was like she was moving 180 degress.
I can see her both ways easily.Cluny
Well, I guess I am really unusual. She is all over the place for me! CW, CCW, CW, CCW, and even not turning entirely, but just bringing her foot all the way to the left, then all the way to the right, again and again! Hmm. I guess this means I am using both sides of my brain like crazy. I always thought I was a pretty whole-brained person. I hope this can’t mean anything bad! : )
The first time I tried this, I was looking to get my “natural” or “neutral” reaction, so I was just passively staring without trying to get it to do anything in particular. This resulted in quick changes back and forth between clockwise, counter-clockwise, and pendulum effects. When it was doing one thing for longer than usual, it was usually going clockwise. Having the dancer in my peripheral vision (without trying to make her do anything in particular) made her change directions more often than she would if I were looking directly at her. Then I looked at it and tried to make it change by changing my frame of mind. Thinking seriously about E=mc2 could make it go counterclockwise. Thinking loving thoughts, or about how the mist would feel coming off of a hawaiian waterfall, if I really immersed myself in the feeling, could make it go clockwise. Feeling uptight or angry resulted in an immediate switch to counter-clockwise. This is just what happens with me, I don’t mean to imply anything.I think that the direction it goes in for you is mainly a reflection of your state at the time you’re viewing it. I don’t think it’s a clear indicator of which side of your brain you most use.
Lauren, of course this doesn’t mean anything bad! Having a better connection between both sides of the brain results in a smarter person. You know you have a better connection if you can see her going both ways, especially if you can change her direction on your own. An example is Einstein, who was proven to have more than average neuropathways between his left and right brain, which resulted in a better connection between the two.As for this comment: “I think that the direction it goes in for you is mainly a reflection of your state at the time you’re viewing it. I don’t think it’s a clear indicator of which side of your brain you most use.”The reason for that is because you use both sides of the brain for different things. If you think about two different things and both things are “taken care of” on the opposite side of the brain, she should switch directions. Her direction depends on your connections and everything, and how easily you can use the other side of your brain. Also, not everyone has their right side as “artistic” and their left side as “logical.” It could be flipped around, and is in some people, or their functions can be “mixed-up,” which occurs more frequently in left-handed people.
Oh, and as for indicating which side of the brain you use more, it’s probably just in general, because, yes, you could be using one side more than the other at the time of viewing, even if you don’t usually use that side most often. But on average it’s likely to be the side you normally use most often.
its amazing … i can spin her any direction i want very very easily, very smoothly but i cant be looking directly at the picture.
The only way I found to get her to change direction is to read the info around it, then I read the ads and it changed again. I could even see it changing in the corner of my eye, it was just like it was flickering once or twice as if it was turned off and back on again and as going the other directions. I did find that the more I did it the easier it became to change the direction, until I nearly could do it consciously and did manage that a couple of times(but it did take a moment of concentrating). What I want to know however if why it can go in either direction? Is it something to do with the mind picking up movement of a silhouette and putting form to it? Because when it is frozen at several points there is no-way that the form could be described as even remotely human (or anything other that a black blob to be honest…)
Good day!It is very informative and has a very good quality in it.I like it… http://www.Squidoo.com/MPI mliragana.blogspot.com Thank you very much for your time.
very interesting. At first she spun clockwise, then counter clockwise, and now she seems to change every semi-circle or so. pretty amazing
oh and for the haters out there, me and my bro are both looking at it at the same time, and we see it change direction at different times. And by haters i mean people who think it just a gif, not people who believe you can make it change, regardless if you are left or right “brained”
I can see her spin in both directions XD.
I see her both ways but it looks like to me that when she pics her left leg up she is counter clockwise when her right leg is up she is clockwise
I was able to see her go both directions. I’ve done it before with other ambiguous .gif images. It takes a moment, but it works, once you get it the real trick is switching on command.
It’s hardest the first time, but once you’ve done it, it’s pretty easy to switch back and forth.
some people say the shadow always spins in one direction so you look at it to help you switch the direction she spins, but i can switch the direction the shadow spins too O.o
you are all stupid this thing spins clockwise then changes after a certain amount of time,, people thinking they are making her change are stupid…. if you look at her hand and feet,, she cant possibly spin the other way without looking odd.
man if you think this is real your an idiot,, it says only 14% in usa can see it,, and almost everyone thats commented can see it….. i can see it spin in both too, but mainly clockwise…. it just changes on its own… how thick are some people
I found I could make the direction change by looking away and observing the motion indirectly. I actually got pretty good at switching the directions almost at will.
Look crosswards and then it will change all the time
I see both.
I saw her spin clockwise at first but all of a sudden she changed directions. I’m not sure how it happens but she does change directions quite often. Though she spins counter clockwise more often now.
When I just look directly at her she’s turning clockwise. But, yet, when I look at the shadow of her foot and look back up she’s now turning counter-clockwise.
Clockwise. I’m right brained, I’ve always known that. Why do I write with my right hand?
I can look at where the foot meets the shadow and by moving my eyes in either direction, I can make it look like she is facing forward just swinging herself from side to side without making a full circle.
When looking at her straight leg, then I can switch her turn whenever I want her to switch.
She’s definitely spinning clockwise, except for about 10 seconds when she was spinning counter clockwise. Very cool.
i can actually…….switch from either direction on command…if you will
Nothing to do with Left or Right brain. Its an optical illusion, where some cues are missing due to the way the body has been crafted. If you pause the video and somehow make your mind imagine that the left leg is lifted, then the body will turn clock-wise (with that leg leading),
There are two of us watching at once and the lady changes directions for each of us at totally different times.
Yeah, I can change it, but only when looking at her legs, also it’s way easier to get her to go clockwise.
my hubby and i looked into this together. both of us can see it spinning in both directions. however, we would sometimes see it spinning in different direction at the same time.he jokingly asked me if i knew what is clockwise and counter-clockwise!
Jessica080806, you’re right! the same thing happened. That’s interesting, right?
1. There is no “woman” – only pixels in an animated .GIF file.2. “She” is not “spinning” – only relative motion of the pixels.3. The only thing you can absolutely tell from this animated .GIF is that your eyes CAN be deceived.
this image shows me that we mustnt believe everything on the internet i think the research is completely a lie.someone find this thing and someone say there was research about it in …. university.and just one man said i saw it in one way .of course i saw it in two way .the right to get true information about new scientific researches…this site is fuckin completely fake ,trick
yay I’m the 14% that can see her go both directions
seriously i dont get how you can see it spin one way, it changes so obviously
Clockwise or counter-clockwise, I’d have sex with her.
I can see both! When i blink she goes clockwise and then when i blink again i can make her turn anti clockwise
wow, this is kinda confusing . i saw her spin in both directions ..
I saw her spin to both sides, but the difference for me was that the change-over always happened either when my eyes unfocused, or I looked away for a split-second.
Wow, she can go both directions! It happens when I turn my sight from her and then return again:)
Ok, this is strange…my daughter and I are looking at it at the same time, I see her go clockwise for about 10 turns and then the other way for about 10 turns, back and forth. My daughter (11yrs) says that the lady won’t spin for her, that she will move back and forth with no complete circles. Occationally she would turn one circle and go back to the rocking back and forth. What does that mean??? Are we both so “center brained” that we can’t decide which way we want to go?
I could see her go both ways. At first she was going counter clockwise, and then she turned and went clockwise! This happened several times while I was watching. It didn’t seem to matter if I was looking at her feet or somewhere else. I could not find a pattern to it. So????????
I can make her dance back and forth with complete and imcomplete circles.
Close your left eye, it will spin to the right side, close your right eye, it will spin to the left side. Its becouse your eyes conected like this http://gamta.vdu.lt/bakalaurai/pop_straipsniai/pusrutuliai/pusrutuliai_files/image004.jpgThe same way people who writing with left hand, reading faster from the left side. becouse left eye reads faster, from the left side.
Also try, one img put to the left side, onother one to the right side. And it will spin, some times to difrent rotations.
First it started off counter-clockwise , and then it switched to clockwise and then back to counter-clockwise : PIm ambidextrous xD
well, i saw her spin both ways, but i think she spins both ways anyways i.e. she changes from counter to clockwise and vice versa- check the change in her hands when you see her spin from clockwise to counter and vice versa.
for me she keeps changing directions
At first I saw her move clockwise, but slowly but surely was able to control which way she spun. It was a bizarre moment. I could make it seem as if she was dancing right spin and left spin when facing forward.I can also do it in my imagination too, without looking. I feel the same sensation.I see her spin clockwise for a full rotation. I can after controlling her movement see her spin in the opposite direction. I can switch, interweaving between starts. I do not know if I see her spin simultaneously.Basically, a few of the times, when I took my mind off her by being distracted for an instant, she changed direction. I can do it by thinking about it as well.It feels great being able to control the way I think. I wonder what else is possible. This is very interesting for me. What do you call this science? I would like to know more. Thank you.
at first all i saw was clockwise then i relized the illusion and how the thingy worked and could change direction fast if i spun my finger the direction i wanted then concentrated with my eyes closed
For the first few minutes it was clockwise for me, then I got it to go counter clockwise, then I couldn’t keep up with how much it changed. At the same time, my dad said it couldn’t be going clockwise at all, and my mom’s view changed every 15 or 20 seconds. This is definitely not a graphic switching on its own.
I saw her spinning both ways
She was clockwise for the first bit, then back and forth – - I got dizzy, not sure how she keeps changing directions without getting dizzy!
Wow, this is pretty cool. At first, I only saw her spinning clockwise. It was like that for the longest time. Then, I brought the page down so I could only see her feet and a bit of her legs. It looked clockwise for a while, but then it changed to counter-clockwise! It kept alternating between the two for a bit. Then, while still only looking at her lower legs and feet, it appeared that she was standing with her back to me and swaying her raised leg side to side, back and forth, without completely spinning around. It stayed like that until I scrolled up to view her whole body.Very interesting!
Very neat.I initially saw the image rotating counter-clockwise, looked at the feet, and then saw it rotating clockwise. I starred at it for a moment, thought about the illusion, and saw it rotating counter-clockwise again.
For those who are having a hard time.Alls i did was took out my index finder, followed her foot, then pointed in the opposite direction. Oh and btw yale your 14% is a bunch of bs.
Yeah cody your idea worked the best, but you forgot to mention following through with your index, it makes this exercise quite simple.
At first I saw her go Counter clock-wise, then I saw her go clockwise, then after staring at it again for a few seconds I got her to dance. I think that’s the real trick.
i can change her movement to unclock wise by thinking of a song i want to remember that i really cant remember that well but have a feeling i know the song but dont quite understand why i cant memorize it.
I was able to see her going clockwise immediately but after reading the text on the right side and realizing that she might go both ways, she immediately did so when I turned back to look at her. When I called a friend in the room with me to look at her, he saw her go both ways as well, but for me she began turning back and fort is such quick succession, it was dizzing. Are you sure only 14% of those tested could see this? Were they of a particular age group?Does this mean anything of significance to me that I can see her change so fast? Curious.
I could get her to go anticlockwise by looking at just her foot and imagining front/back as required for the direction, then revealing the rest of the image. After a while though, she stopped spinning, leapt out from the monitor and ran around my desk – is this normal do you think?
I can see her moving in both directions!
i see both ways and can control the direction am i supposed to do that.MY FAMILY LOVES THIS
Figured Out the Secret!Okay, I looked at the picture the first time and saw it going counter clockwise and I stared at it and studied it for several minutes to see if I could trick my brain into thinking the lady was spinning the other way. All of a sudden, as if by magic, she started to turn in the other direction! I was amazed! I wondered if I could do it again. After several more minutes I wasn’t sure I’d be able to. I was going crazy, but then it finally happened again.Eventually, I figured out how to see it going either way. The trick? Keep your eyes on her boobs! When you stare at her boobs, which are real nice I must say, she will shift her direction. Since staring at women’s breasts is something I always do anyways, it was only natural that I would figure this out eventually.
I can make her go both directions
found out somthing to add in more facts.if u saw her spinning clockwise , her right leg is swinging about and when u saw her spinning anti clockwise , her left leg is swinging about. So try make ur brain think which leg she uses to swing
it realli works
i see her spin clockwise first. then when i try to see her spin counterclockwise, she goes that way.
Cool. I saw it clockwise first, then switched it to counter when I looked at the feet. Then I figured to switch attention to the left part or the right part of the brain and it could switch quite easily. After reading a few comments I also tried thinking of certain things like -driving through different routes (= counter-clockwise) versus flying free (= clockwise)…
I saw her go clockwise first and then I thought of her spinning in the other direction and she did. and can make her change direction without any difficulty. I read that you can actually train one side of your brain to shut off.
I first notice the dancer spinning counter clockwise. After a few seconds she was spinning clockwise.
I tried For a bit and now i can turn her any time i want whenever i want.
I can see it in both directions. You just have to change how you’re looking at it.
ohh wow.. this acctually works.. ii could make her go each directions in like a second.. i was focusing on left side, turning the dol around.. & wow..but something makes me think that this is just how the picture is, like the picture just turns it selfe or something. it seems imposible.
Wow! I can see both!
I see her spinning in both directions.
I don’t know for you guys but i somehow managed to make her turn both sidesat first she were turning C-clockwise then i was reading the words and she suddenly started turning clockwise i was like :Othen after a moment trying to make her turn C-clockwise again, i finally managedYou have to concentrate, i can’t really explain it other than that.
tan quan giang, your arrogance has caused you to make a really stupid statement. The movement of the figure is consistent.
She moves both directions for me. does that mean I use both sides of my brain to think?
I can see her move both directions. so cool.
i dont know if the graphic is not a “trick” that switches ways or not but the thing is when i saw this i was listening to music and it was clockwise.. i was getting frustrated by not being able to see it counter but then i switched the music off and started to read the words better and…. voila! i was able to see it both ways which was amazing.. i believe the major side i use is the right one because i’m such a daydreamer or whatever
whoa..i saw the girl spinning while changing her leg for a few minutes….so that she can spin clockwise and counter clockwise….try to look at her feet..:).amazing.
That’s crazy. When I first watched the dancer go round and round she was going clockwise I glanced over at the text keeping her in my peripheral and she “flipped” and started to spin counter clockwise. Now as I watch she turns either way after a few rotations.
I think this is so interesting.
I could see her going both ways! I was very proud!
I think it’s interesting to know about how different people can see things.
notice everyone on here is telling that they saw here switch.
its all legit, trust me, if i look at the feet. it doesnt make a complete circle, it jus keeps going back and forth. But if i let it go one way and then look upp, it will continue to spin that way. and if i let it start to turn the other way and look upp it will continue to spin that way. It is allmost possible for me to change wich way the girl spins on demand, people have to remember, this is an opticul illusion, it can be viewed from 2 different ways. its jus a matter of how you want to view it LOLOLOLOOL. good luck ppl but you have my 100% guarentee, its real.
i was listening to music when i was looking at it, at the same time reading the passage
every time i looked away and looked back it would change directions, i thought maybe it changed directions on its own when i wasn’t looking so i stared at it for a while and it stayed clock wise so i looked away to get it to change to counter clockwise again but now its staying at clockwise
I was able to see both ways. when i looked at first i saw her spinning clockwise, but when i concentrated and tried to se her going counterclockwise i could. but it went back to clockwise after a little while
This is super crazy first she was going clockwise, I read the little insert about the left side and right side and then the lady switched to her other foot and spun counter clockwise that is too freaky lol
